Important Membership Basics
There is one class of IRI membership. Any person or organization with an interest in annuity and variable life products is eligible to apply for membership in the organization. Membership is subject to application, payment of dues, and ratification by the Board of Directors. Membership is non-transferable and non-assignable.
On your application, designate a contact person for your organization or company. This person will receive invoices for membership dues, have voting rights on institute issues on behalf of your company, receive the Annuity Fact Book, and will have his/her name listed in the IRI Membership Directory.
Dues
Dues are assessed on a calendar-year basis, based on annuity assets for insurance company and investment management members; and distributors and other companies based on the size of the organization. Affiliated companies wishing to maintain their own identity as a IRI member can join the association at a reduced affiliate rate.
