Bob McGowan is a Managing Director and the Head of Americas Institutional Partnership Sales within the Institutional Client Group. Bob is responsible for bringing together and leveraging three of our institutional segments: Sub-Advisory, OCIO partnerships and DC platform sales. He is focused on managing these teams and aligning them to address the clients’ unique needs. Bob has more than twenty five years of experience in financial services focusing on Sales and Distribution in the Institutional and Intermediary distribution channels.

Prior to joining SSGA, Bob held a variety of senior leadership roles at UBS including, Head of Institutional Client Service and Sales teams, Head of Intermediary and DC Sales and most recently Head of Wholesale and Intermediary Distribution. In each of these roles, he was responsible for developing and executing the business strategy across multiple distribution channels. Additionally Bob was a member of several senior leadership committees within Asset Management and across UBS including the Americas Management Team, Product Development and Governance Committees, UBS $01 Investment Committee. At Deutsche Asset Management, he was responsible for client service and business development in both the institutional and Intermediary Distribution teams. Bob is currently an IRI Board member.

Bob earned his BS and MBA from Union College. He holds the FINRA series 3, 7 and 63 registrations.
