Jacob Armstrong is senior vice president, head of Insurance Strategic Development for Franklin Templeton’s Retirement & Insurance Division responsible for retirement income growth initiatives, including product innovation and strategic partnerships.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Armstrong served as the head of Franklin Templeton’s Insurance & Subadvisory Business. Previously Mr. Armstrong worked at JP Morgan for 10 years within the insurance & subadvisory division including head of sales and national account relationship management roles, and at Ivy Investments where he was responsible for the insurance business and a member of the institutional division’s operating committee.

Mr. Armstrong is a Board Member of the Insured Retirement Institute which is the leading financial services trade association based in Washington D.C. for the retirement income industry. He is also a Board Member delegate for the Alliance for Lifetime Income, a group of 24 of the leading financial services organizations in the U.S committed to bringing awareness and educating Americans about the benefits of protected retirement income.

Mr. Armstrong holds an MBA in economics and finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a bachelor degree in finance from California State University. Mr. Armstrong and his family reside in Lake Bluff, IL.
