Roger Marinzoli is Senior Managing Director, and Head of Product Development & Implementation. He is responsible for business, product and corporate development. Roger and his team are responsible for driving product innovation and development for the retirement sector, from exploring new ideas to building new products, and to ultimately helping to implement new TIAA retirement solutions. He is a member of the TIAA Strategic Venture Capital Committee and the TIAA PAC Steering Committee.
Roger joined TIAA in 2012 as Head of Corporate Development and M&A. He has spent much of his career developing corporate and business strategies, using consulting-based approaches enhanced with global sales and operational execution experience. His technology and entrepreneurial interests have enabled him to deploy new business models, products and solutions across a range of industries. Trained as a global investment banker, Roger has deep technical and financial expertise through M&A and corporate financing, and has significant experience in selling financial products, advisory services and technology platforms. Roger’s business experiences have been diverse, both geographically on four continents and multi-industry (financial institutions, hospitality and real estate, telecoms, power and energy, infrastructure and general technology).
Roger has more than 25 years’ experience in sales, strategy, corporate development and innovation, include serving as an investment banker with Lehman Brothers, and as co-founder of a fintech venture. He has held Board, officer and leadership positions for much of his career. As a strategic planner and strategic advisor, he designed business and corporate strategy, developing frameworks for decision-making and cadences for executive review. As a founder and executive manager, he shaped the strategic direction and operations of businesses. As a CFO and a financial planner, he developed budgets and financial analysis, establishing financial policy and optimal capital structures. He always brings his creative and technical expertise to develop innovative products, solutions and strategies for his shareholders and clients.
Roger holds degrees from Cornell University, The Johns Hopkins University and Georgetown University. He and his family live in Princeton, New Jersey.
