Shannan Johnson serves as Executive Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Administrative Officer of Insured Retirement Institute (IRI). Shannan is passionate about helping leaders work at their best. She keeps the details organized behind the scenes and helps build a strong, connected workplace culture.

Shannan has more than 10 years of experience supporting executives in financial services, energy, and technology. Before joining IRI, she was Manager of Corporate Events and Learning and Development at Convergent Energy and Power. There she planned company-wide events and sales conferences, supported the new-hire onboarding program, and supported a five-member C-suite team. Earlier, she was an Administrative Business Partner to the Founder and CEO of Fidelus Technologies. She also spent several years at REIS and Moody’s Analytics, where she worked in office administration, client support, and product training.

Shannan holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Miami. She lives in New York with her husband and their dog, Frankie. In her free time, she loves to travel.
