The IRI Industry-wide "Hackathon" held at Prudential's Shelton, CT location from February 11-13 was nothing short of transformative! This high-energy, action-packed three-day event brought together industry leaders from across the annuity sector. Teams of distributors, carriers, and solutions providers collaborated to solve high-priority challenges with innovative, real-world solutions that hold the key to unlocking the full potential of annuities.
A Gathering of Innovators
The event attracted 73 participants from 18 different companies, fostering collaboration across sectors and driving a spirit of innovation. With 55 competitors, this hackathon was not just about coding— it was about solving industry challenges with creativity, technology, and a shared commitment to advancing the future of annuities.
Over the course of the hackathon, teams worked tirelessly to tackle complex, high-priority challenges facing the annuity industry. Their mission was clear: to create solutions that have the power to drive change and elevate the potential reach of annuities in today's rapidly evolving financial landscape. By leveraging AWS tools, participants explored the latest technology available to help solve these challenges—whether streamlining processes, enhancing customer experiences, or expanding the impact of annuities in the tools financial professionals use. The challenges pushed teams to think outside the box and innovate beyond traditional industry boundaries.
