The Insured Retirement Institute (IRI) announced promotions for two team members and a new hire.

Shani Armon is IRI’s new Chief Operating Officer (COO), Anna Hildreth has been promoted to Vice President, Marketing and Events, and Dan Herrick has been hired as Vice President, Membership and Business Development, a new role at the association.

Armon joined IRI in 2018 and most recently served as Chief Membership and Marketing Officer. Hildreth was Director, Membership and Business Development and joined the association in 2021. Herrick joined IRI from Prudential Financial, where he was Vice President, Relationship Management & Platform Strategy. Christina Brady, IRI’s former COO, left the association for a new opportunity.

“We are proud to have such a talented and dedicated team,” said Wayne Chopus, President and CEO at IRI. “Shani, Anna, and Dan bring exceptional leadership, expertise, and a shared commitment to advancing our mission of ensuring retirement security for all. Their contributions and vision will help us continue to elevate the value we bring to our members and the industry.”

He continued, “Shani and Anna have consistently demonstrated the leadership and drive crucial to IRI’s success. Shani built our annual conference into the premier event for the insured retirement industry, led membership outreach, developed marketing and branding strategies, and enhanced the value of IRI member programs. Anna has done tremendous work to enhance our conference sponsorships, resulting in record-setting revenue. She also spearheaded outreach to secure new members and developed programs and opportunities to enhance member engagement.”

Chopus also welcomed Herrick to the IRI team. “Dan is a well-known and respected leader in the insured retirement industry, and we are eager to have his skills, knowledge, and experience at IRI,” he said. “With Dan joining our team, we’re poised to deepen our relationships within the industry and expand our reach as we continue to advocate for retirement security.”

Chopus also thanked Brady for her service to IRI. “Christina has been a superb team member and leader who has contributed valuable strategic guidance and delivered administrative excellence, contributing to IRI’s growth and success,” he said. “She also was instrumental in establishing IRI as an industry leader in diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. We will miss her and wish her every success in her next role.
