WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Insured Retirement Institute (IRI) issued the following statement following the Senate’s confirmation of Daniel Aronowitz as Assistant Secretary of Labor for the Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA), an agency within the U.S. Department of Labor. EBSA regulates and enforces employee retirement, health, and other workplace benefit provisions of Title I of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) of 1974.

“Congratulations to Daniel Aronowitz on his confirmation as Assistant Secretary of Labor for the Employee Benefits Security Administration,” said Wayne Chopus, President and CEO at IRI. “IRI looks forward to working with him to advance retirement policies that expand workers’ and retirees’ opportunities to save and provide a protected, sustainable retirement income stream that they cannot outlive.”
