WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Insured Retirement Institute (IRI) issued the following statement on the announcement that the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) named Gary Anderson as Chief Executive Officer. Anderson is the current Massachusetts Insurance Commissioner.
“IRI congratulates Gary Anderson on his new role as CEO of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners,” said Wayne Chopus, President and CEO of IRI. “Effective leadership at the NAIC is critical to consumer protection and to provide a forum for sharing views on critical insurance regulatory issues. Gary Anderson is a highly respected, knowledgeable regulator.
