Tedla Mekonnen
Founder and CEO
EveryIncome

As EveryIncome founder and CEO, I know first-hand the importance of financial wellness and its long-term impact on people. My family and I immigrated to the United States from Ethiopia. We intimately understand the challenges individuals and families face to start a new life here in the U.S.

Fortunately, I had resources, support, and mentors that helped lay a solid foundation and provided a path to financial freedom. However, I understand that my story is not the norm but more the outlier.

I recognized that underserved communities are abundant, do not think they warrant help or do not know where to look.

Personalized Financial Education

EveryIncome was started with the intent of bridging that gap. Its mission is to empower and give everyone financial independence and freedom, enough to last a lifetime. Our vision to achieve this is by delivering personalized financial education, tools, and life-event solutions.

To best achieve these goals, we need strong, influential partners. That is why we teamed with the Insured Retirement Institute (IRI), a champion of retirement security for all and an organization that shares our commitment to financial literacy education.

Helping Underserved Communities

Financial education is crucial to economic empowerment and upward mobility in underserved communities. By providing individuals with the tools and knowledge they need to make informed financial decisions, we can help them achieve financial stability and improve their overall quality of life.

A New Alliance

To advance our goals, we are excited to announce the launch of the Financial Empowerment Alliance (FEA), which aims to deliver free financial education to millions of Americans in diverse and underserved communities.

Through this collaboration and with the help of industry-leading companies, the Financial Empowerment Alliance can significantly impact diverse communities. We have established several distribution partners with minority-based Chambers of Commerce, universities, and charities, and we are ready to make a difference

A Call to Action

We are working hard to expand our network to recruit more partners like IRI. The need in many communities is real. But the tools to help are available, and the interests of individuals and the industry to address this issue are aligned. With effective, committed collaboration, we can seize this opportunity to meaningfully advance financial freedom across our nation.
