The Industry’s Premier Event is April 2-4 in Nashville, Tenn.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Insured Retirement Institute (IRI) opened registration for its 2024 annual conference, which will be held in Nashville, Tenn., on April 2-4 at the JW Marriott Nashville.
“The anticipation and excitement over IRI’s annual conference grows every year,” said Wayne Chopus, President and CEO of IRI. “After three consecutive record-setting conferences, this is now the go-to event for the insured retirement industry. We are building an experience rich in engagement, education, and networking for all attendees.”
Bruce Donaldson, President & Chief Executive Officer, Simplicity Group, Jasmine Jirele, President & CEO, Allianz Life Insurance Company, and Andrew Schlossberg, President & CEO, Invesco Ltd. (USA) lead off the conference agenda in a panel discussion to provide a broad, strategic overview of the insured retirement industry’s most pressing challenges and most significant opportunities.
“What better way to set the stage for the rest of the conference’s in-depth breakout sessions, keynote speakers, and general sessions than to kick off with a macro view provided by leaders representing several industry segments,” Chopus said.
Keynote speakers include Chuck Todd, NBC News’ chief political analyst and the former moderator of Meet the Press, who will offer timely, informative insights on the 2024 elections.
Josh Linkner, a New York Times bestselling author, venture capital investor, and professional guitarist, will bring his unique style to the IRI conference using music composition as a metaphor for collaborative innovation. His session promises to be entertaining, inspiring, and directly applicable to the daily challenges faced in business. Global Atlantic Financial Company sponsors his session.
A third keynote speaker, sponsored by Symetra Life Insurance Company, is Dr. Wendy Borlabi, a seasoned sports psychologist who serves as director of performance and mental health for the Chicago Bulls. Dr. Borlabi will share approaches to high performance on the individual and team levels rooted in mission, purpose, and a deep understanding of mindset and its role in achievement.
The conference also features several tracks of breakout sessions that allow attendees to customize their experience. Several networking opportunities will provide attendees with personal and professional development opportunities among their industry peers. And Pacific Life Insurance Company is sponsoring a special music-themed community event to help Nashville teens.
“We have set the bar high to establish our annual conference as a critical educational and professional development experience for all attendees,” Chopus said. “Each year, we build upon the foundation of what we have established to ensure a high-value event that creates ongoing conversations well after the conference and sets the stage for positive industry action throughout the year.”
